Originally Published 7/22/2009 It is hard to believe that only a few days are left, and the Amsterdam team is working even harder to make sure that the event is going to be a success. We have had our last meetings with Amsterdam police force and city hall before finalizing and approving our permits and plans for the event.  We have worked out the program of the speakers and performers, minute by minute, and have come up with every contingency plan ever imagined possible. But mainly, we have focused all of our attention this week to promote the event by every means possible. We still continue to pass out flyers at shopping centers and central stations during rush-hour, and use different social networking sites to spread the news and mobilize the people to attend the event on Saturday.  By sending out press releases on a regular basis we have been successful in booking interviews on several radio programs, such as, Radio 1 News, BNR, Radio Zamaneh and Radio FunX. Next on the list are the major newspapers and TV news programs. However, the most rewarding endeavor so far has been making  the promotional video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpRpKskkJaQ#watch-main-area) by our incredible team.  The video which was shot and edited only in 3 days, has moved and brought Iranians and Dutch alike to tears. With this video we have tried to give a positive message that together we can undeniably make a difference.  Now the question is; if they can be heroes, why can’t we? So, be a hero. Come join us on 25 July, and Let us be their voices! -The Amsterdam Team
