سوم مرداد ماه 1388: روز جهانی اقدام برای حقوق بشر در ایران
(July 8, 2009) Press Release Human rights activists are organizing a coordinated Global Day of Action on July 25, 2009 to demand respect for the human rights of the Iranian people and to demonstrate worldwide solidarity with the civil rights movement in Iran. Major human rights organizations have sponsored the event. Around the world, people will gather in solidarity with the Iranian people following over a month of intensified state repression against citizens peacefully demonstrating for their rights. Many have been killed in the streets, many hundreds have been beaten and injured, and at least 2,000 are thought to have been detained. The Global Day of Action is a not affiliated with any partisan political agenda, and is aimed at securing the internationally recognized rights of the Iranian people. The organizers believe that while political questions facing Iran can only be resolved by the Iranian people themselves, the violent repression of their internationally guaranteed human rights are of concern to people all around the world. The global day of action is organized around the following core demands: 1. That member states and civil society organizations of the international community give sustained attention to the Iranian people’s human rights as a matter of international concern, and that the UN should immediately initiate an investigation into grave and systematic human rights violations in Iran, including the fate of prisoners and disappeared persons, unlawful killings, and torture and other ill-treatment; 2. An end to state-sponsored violence, accountability for crimes committed and no recourse to the death penalty; 3. The immediate and unconditional release of all prisoners of conscience, including politicians, journalists, students, and civil society activists; and 4. Freedom of assembly, freedom of association, and freedom of expression (including freedom of the press) as guaranteed by the Iranian constitution and Iran’s obligations under international covenants that it has signed.
سوم مرداد ماه 1388: روز جهانی اقدام برای حقوق بشر در ایران
17 تیرماه 1388– فعالان حقوق بشربطور هماهنگ روز جهانی اقدام برای حقوق بشر در ایران را برای تاریخ سوم مرداد ماه سازماندهی کرده اند تا در آن خواستار رعایت حقوق بشر مردم ایران شوند. آنها همچنین برای ابراز همبستگی جهانی خود با جنبش حقوق شهروندی مردم در ایران دست به تظاهرات خواهند زد. سازمان های عمده حقوق بشری از حامیان این اقدام روز جهانی هستند.
در سراسر جهان، مردم برای همبستگی با مردم ایران تجمع خواهند کرد. بیش از یک ماه است مردمی که در تجمعات مسالمت آمیز خواهان حقوق خود هستند مورد سرکوب های گسترده دولتی قرارمی گیرند. بسیاری از مردم در خیابان ها کشته شدند، چند صد نفر در خیابان ها مورد ضرب و شتم قرار گرفته و مجروح شده اند و بنظر می رسد که حداقل 2000 نفر بازداشت شده اند.
روز جهانی اقدام در دفاع از حقوق بشر مردم ایران وابسته به هیچ گروه و برنامه سیاسی نیست و هدف آن تضمین حقوق مردم ایران است که بطور جهانی به رسمیت شناخته شده است.
برگزار کنندگان این روز جهانی اقدام بر این باروند که مسائل سیاسی پیش روی ایران تنها توسط مردم ایران قابل حل است اما سرکوب خشونت بار حقوق تضمین شده بشر مردم ایران دغدغه همه مردم جهان است.
روز اقدام جهانی حقوق بشر مردم ایران برای دستیابی به این خواسته ها برگزار می شود:
جامعه مدنی جهانی و دولتها این موضوع را که حقوق بشر مردم ایران یک دغدغه جهانی است، تائید می کند و تاکید می کند که سازمان ملل متحد باید برای بررسی وضعیت وخیم و نقض سیستماتیک حقوق بشر، از جمله وضعیت زندانیان، تعداد بسیار زیاد ناپدیدشدگان، کشتارها و شکنجه هئیتی را فورا به ایران اعزام کند.
همه زندانیان عقیدتی وسیاسی از جمله روزنامه نگاران، دانشجویان و فعالان جامعه مدنی باید بدون قید و شرط و فورا آزاد شوند.
به خشونت های دولتی و مورد حمایت دولت باید پایان داده شود و دولت برای جنایاتی که اتفاق افتاده باید پاسخگو باشد و مجازات اعدام انجام نشود، و
آزادی تجمع، آزادی بیان و آزادی مطبوعات که در قانون اساسی ایران تضمین شده و از الزامات بین المللی ایران تحت پیمان ها و میثاق های بین المللی است، باید تامین شود.
