“La Donne in Nero” Call for Nasrin Sotoudeh’s Release 
Italy’s Donne in Nero (translated to Women in Black and akin to the “Mourning Mothers”) has joined the worldwide call strongly urging the Islamic Republic to release detained human rights defender, Nasrin Sotoudeh. This woman’s organization is also encouraging the global community to send e-letters urging IRI and world authorities to help secure Nasrin Sotoudeh’s release. The e-letter, initially called for by Nobel Laureate Shirin Ebadi, can be found here. Donne in Nero details the human rights defender’s supposed “offenses,” stating that “For IRI authorities, Nasrin Sotoudeh is three times “guilty” for
1. Being a woman of conviction. 2. Being a lawyer active in human rights. 3. Daring to speak out against the establishment.

حمایت زنان سیاهپوش ایتالیا از نسرین ستوده
ما “زنان سیاهپوش ایتالیا” به بیانیه شیرین عبادی برنده جایزه صلح نوبل میپیوندیم و از دولت ایران میخواهیم که نسرین ستوده وکیل و فعال حقوق بشر را که از بیش از سه ماه در زندان به سر میبرد و برای سومین بار دست به اعتصاب غذا زده آزاد کند.
نسرین ستوده از نظر جمهوری اسلامی سه جرم دارد:
(1) “استوار ماندن بر باورهای خویش”
(2) “وکیل مدافع حقوق بشر” بودن
(3) داشتن “شجاعت انتقاد از حکومت اسلامی”
شیرین عبادی همراه با ۶ تن از امضا کنندگان بیانیه آزادی نسرین ستوده، که در میان آنها شخصیتهای مهم فعال حقوق زنان دیده میشود، برای آزادی همکارشان نسرین ستوده که در زندان انفرادی در اوین میباشد، از روز ۲۰ دسامبر جلو دفتر سازمان ملل در ژنو اقدام به تحصن کردند.
شیرین عبادی همچنین درخواست کرده است که سیل نامه نگاری را خطاب به مقامات ایران و دولتهای خودمان آغاز کنیم.

Na corsa contro la morte per Nasrin Sotoudeh
Le Donne in Nero italiane aderiamo all’apello al governo iraniano lanciato dal premio Nobel per la pace iraniano, Shirin Ebadi, affinche’ liberi Nasrin Sotoudeh, avvocato e attivista per i diritti umani, in carcere da oltre tre mesi, che ha iniziato il suo terzo sciopero della fame.
Per il regime iraniano, Nasrin Sotoudeh è 3 volte colpevole:
1. Colpevole di essere una donna di convinzione. 2. Colpevole di essere un avvocato attivo nella difesa dei diritti umani. 3. Colpevole di osare a parlare contro il regime.
Shirin Ebadi e altre sei firmatarie dell’appello per la liberazione di Nasrin Sotoudeh, tra cui note figure attiviste per il diritto delle donne iraniane, hanno dichiarato che inizieranno un sit-in a partire dal 20 dicembre 2010 davanti agli uffici delle Nazioni Unite a Ginevra, fino al rilascio della loro collega Nasrin Sotoudeh dal carcere di Evin dove si trova in isolamento.
