United for Iran, Amnesty International USA, the Committee of Concerned Scientists and American Physics Society have launched a joint petition calling for the immediate and unconditional release of talented young Iranian physicist and prisoner of conscience Omid Kokabee. Kokabee is serving a ten-year prison sentence in Iran. Next week will be the third anniversary of his arrest, which occurred while he was attempting to return from visiting his family back to the University of Texas in Austin where he was pursuing his doctorate in Physics. Support this campaign and sign the petition for Omid now. Get five ten of your friends, colleagues and relatives to sign to help us reach our goal. We plan to present the thousands of collected signatures to the Iranian authorities in two months. The launch of the petition also coincided with the tweet storm on behalf of Omid Kokabee: https://www.facebook.com/events/455883814508960/ [separator top=”40″ style=”none”]
